IN MEMORIUM-OMA DECKARD.
Former member Oma Deckard passed away December 4, 1996. She was 92 years old, and had been in reasonably good health until recently. Oma and her husband Joe joined VGMS in 1960, and Oma dropped out in 1985 when they no longer could attend meetings. Both of them were great workers for the club, and especially at the club shows. We extend our most sincere sympathy to Joe and to the family.

IN MEMORIUM-BILL BOGNER.
We were very sorry to learn of the passing of former member Bill Bogner recently. He and his wife Claredith joined VGMS in 1955 and were very active. They especially enjoyed the field trips and Bill was the night guard for our shows for many years. You can send a card to Claredith Bogner at 85 Maxine Street, Oakview, CA 93022. Our thoughts and prayers are with Claredith and family.

IN MEMORIUM-ETHEL MEYERS.
Former member Ethel Meyers passed away July 15th. She was 92 years old. Although Ethel did not join the club until 1980 (to 1988) she was a frequent guest from the 1950s. Ethel enjoyed the field trips and never found a hill too steep or too high to climb, and rarely found a rock or gem too large to bring down. She usually then gave it away.
Ethel did not do much cutting and polishing, but she enjoyed the beauty of her rocks and stones.
Rest in peace, Ethel!
