ZZYZX - EARTH SCIENCE STUDIES.
It seems like no time at all since Isabella Burns had a dream--to provide a setting where Earth Science and Lapidary Arts could be studied, such as in Wild Acres in North Carolina.
After considerable searching, she found Soda Springs, also known as ZZYZX. This will be the twelfth year for this very popular program. Soda Springs is much improved from that first year. The Committee is hard at work planning interesting Earth Science Studies for the Seminar coming up in April. Classes and programs are extended to a Full Week, rather than five days.
If you have never heard of Soda Springs Earth Science Studies, it is held at an old resort about eight miles from Baker, California, on Interstate Highway 15, ZZYZX turnoff. The facilities are rather rustic. Attendees provide their own bedding and other needs. Three home-cooked meals are provided each day.
Enrollment forms are in the printed edition of this newsletter. Send yours in early, as attendance is limited to 60.
